The moment they realised their nesting place had been disturbed, the spiders poured out of it. The walker pulled away part of the nest which fell on the ground prompting thousands of more spiders making their quick escape. In the media reports, it was later identified as pholcidae, popularly known as cellar spiders or daddy longlegs. These creatures are thankfully not dangerous to humans as they are not poisonous. They are famous for hanging in messy and irregular webs which they build in dark and damp breaks such as caves or under the rocks or even in abandoned burrows.
