Aquaman actress Amber Heard has been quite vocal about her sexuality. However, coming out about the same to her religious parents was a task that involved a lot of strength. While speaking about her bisexuality at the Making Change on and Off Screen panel, SXSW over the weekend, Heard talked about the reaction she received when she first came out to her parents. Obviously, with the rigid binary system viewed by individuals with respect to sexuality, her parents were unable to process the information.

Amber Heard, during her talk, stated, 슬롯사이트œI am from Austin, Texas. My dad is out of central casting Texan. Good Southern man and I was raised in a religious home,슬롯사이트� she said. 슬롯사이트œAnd being an outspoken lesbian, atheist, vegetarian, I remember when I told them about my relationship, that I was in love with this woman, and at the beginning of that it was just tears, tears.슬롯사이트�

Heard further added, 슬롯사이트œThey didn슬롯사이트™t know how to process it because, for them, it was being thrown into a binary system of processing it, negative or positive.슬롯사이트� While her parents did not hop onboard and accept her for her sexuality, their attitude seems to have changed over the past five years.

Post this, Heard dated Johnny Depp and married him in 2015. However, their relationship didn't last long too as they filed for a divorce, which was finalised in January 2017. The actress also dated Tesla founder Elon Musk post her divorce. Heard came out about her sexuality in 2019 at an event that was hosted by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).
